I was thinking of going with the superchips flashpaq but couldn't get a straight answer from them on weather or not my car was supported. Plus the only comparison review I could find showed the Jet tuners adding more power. After doing some performance runs with different tunes and fuel types, recording the data with an elm5 scan tool, then exporting the data to excel and graphing it I noticed a few interesting things. 1: The premium fuel tune (fuel only, shift points/firmness left stock) cuts 0.4 seconds off the 0-60 time, taking it from 8.8 seconds to 8.4. The takeoffs are still meh and the power increase isn't noticeable until about 40 mph. 2: The reg fuel canned tune (WOT shifts are firmed up, 1-2 shift point goes from 4800 RPM to 5100 RPM) adds no power. The only performance improvement comes in the firmed up shifting and modified shift points and it only cuts 0.1 - 0.2 seconds off 0-60. 3: In stock form, the performance difference between regular fuel and premium fuel is absolutely zero.0-60 is 8.8 seconds with both fuel grades. 4: No change in mpg with the tunes installed. So there you have it. The jet does do as adverstised. It does let you change your tuning for fuel type (although you're only gonna see a boost with premium in a vic/grand marquis anyway), gear ratio, tire size, shift points, and shift firmness, thermostat, unlocks rpm and speed limiter. It also functions as a scan tool, clear DTCs, and lets you monitor engine parameters in real-time. So is it worth it? I feel that unless you plan on doing some other modifications (like changing your tire size or axle ratio) it's not really worth it the price. Then again the Jet 15003 does support a huge array of Ford vehicles and motors so results will vary.
